Who are we?
What is a Living Corridor?
The Living Corridor is a patchwork quilt of restoration agroecological farms and community organizations woven across regional landscapes for the common good.
With deep roots in the history of Mesoamerica, the Corridor applies social movement methods to the ecological concepts of connectivity and cooperation. Just as wildlife relies on contiguous migratory pathways to survive, human communities rely on networks of solidarity to achieve true food sovereignty and climate resilience.
Why Agroecology?
Agroecology is the integration of indigenous ecological knowledge with modern conservation science. Because land acts as both a source and a sink for greenhouse gases, nature-based agricultural solutions have the potential to deliver over one-third of the global climate change mitigation needed by 2030.
By replacing chemical agriculture with food forests, complex water management, and pollinator habitats, we prove that human agriculture can heal ecosystems rather than deplete them.
How does it work?
Partnerships
The Living Corridor is a self-determined movement of over 30 Pan-American native leaders and grassroots organizations. To assist in this monumental, multi-year endeavor, two dedicated organizations have been invited to partner as institutional anchors:
- New Community Project: Providing global advocacy, resource mobilization, and deep solidarity with marginalized communities worldwide.
Earth Allies Restoration Network (EARN): Delivering technical support, agroforestry expertise, and organizational logistics to ensure long-term ecological success.
Together, we do not impose solutions from the outside; we resource the visions of the leaders who have guarded these lands for generations.
